All parties - opposition and PAP, claim to care about retirement and inflation but nobody has a solution to removing the retirement asset from HDB. This is a generational ponzi that either leads to skyhigh prices, or overdependence on government-managed retirement.

30-40% of any HDB flat's price consists of a 'land cost'. The breakdown of this cost is not made known to the public, despite numerous attempts by architects, urban planners and members of the opposition.

The PAP designed it so that Singaporeans pay for this 'land cost' and it goes back to the reserves. Hospitals and schools have no 'land cost' and everybody agrees it is for public use, yet somehow HDBs have 'land cost'. Why is it so? It is to afford the PAP's promise of having HDBs never going down in value.

What's the catch? Your hard-earned money from your CPF is used. The 'asset value appreciation' that you get from HDB is from your own future retirement funds, and you are currently paying for somebody else's retirement. Prepare to work until you die buddy.

Your CPF OA has a targeted floor rate of 2.5%, but your purchasing power reduces by 50% every 17 years. This is why Singaporeans are feeling the cost of living finally catch up to us.

No. In fact, the PAP has raided the reserves twice - once during COVID19, and once during the GFC to guarantee 80% of risk on bank loans to private corporations, including unsecured credit working capital loans. Corporations were allowed to borrow up to S$5million from our Singaporean reserves.

Singaporeans need to vote for the candidate they want, not a bundle of nonsense in the GRC. If a candidate has quality execution and ideas, Singaporeans are smart enough to see for themselves. Good candidates can also be burdened by party scandals or unruly volunteers. Candidates should run by themselves in SMCs to be unburdened by what has been.

I hope that my ideas get discussed seriously - and if they do get passed I am happy with the sitting Parliament of the day to take credit. None of the opposition's ideas are sold as theirs, the PAP just takes credit anyway. The purpose of the Parliament is to serve Singaporeans, not the PAP.
